Game For Good Game Jam series is a series of a philanthropic-themed 48-hour game development competition that is held annually. This event invites participants to create fun and engaging games with the lofty goal of making the world a better place.

Project GC, short for Game Changer, is a gaming community established in August 2020. With a mission to "Revitalize original Chinese games and tell Chinese stories to the world through games," the Project GC community consists of thousands of young game developers from Mainland China and across the globe. Game For Good Game Jam 2021 was guided by the Shanghai Online Game Association and co-hosted by the Game 4 Good Open Platform. The event received over 400 applications, ultimately selecting 150 contestants for the offline competition. Participants included students from top domestic and international universities such as Fudan, SJTU, Tsinghua, Peking University, Shanghai New York University, Shanghai University of Science and Technology, Communication University of China, NYU, CMU, UCSC, BU, as well as professionals in planning, art, and programming from Tencent, NetEase, and various independent studios.
